Set up your own monster fights
Monster Playground is a free puzzle game where you can see how different monsters interact with a variety of items, as well as your human characters. This sandbox game from Alphabets Games also allows you to come up with your own unique scenarios by constructing obstructions and other challenges for the monsters to face.
Similar to People Playground, Monster Playground features some violent scenes depending on the items you provide your characters, so keep in mind that there will be graphic content ahead. Both games also feature an array of weapons at your disposal to test out.
Numerous scenarios to unlock
Monster Playground presents unique gameplay that players can greatly enjoy. Rather than having to solve numerous levels of puzzles, players can create their own puzzles and battle scenes in this entertaining game. Players have access to a wide range of monsters that they can place in a room alongside human characters and various interactive elements that they can use to trigger unique events and scenes.
This game makes use of some wacky physics that make everything even more entertaining to watch as they unfold. Keep in mind that certain items will also cause different effects when exposed to other elements, so try combining different items for each run to uncover all the possible scenes. With over 100 items to play with and combine with elements like fire, chemicals, and natural occurrences, the possibilities are endless.
Unfortunately, however, the game does have its fair share of downsides, as well. There is a large number of obstructive ads that can get in the way of gameplay, especially since these tend to appear in the middle of choosing items or watching a scene play out, so it can get pretty frustrating to deal with. The frequency of ads also causes the screen to freeze quite often, too.
Interesting premise but needs some work
Although Monster Playground has a great number of features that make it worth checking out, it does need some polishing when it comes to the frequency of ads, especially when these can greatly affect gameplay. Otherwise, it’s definitely a promising game with unique mechanics that allow players to exercise their creativity by setting up their own monster scenes thanks to a large number of customizable elements.
