Mokoko X: A Modern Take on Arcade Games
Mokoko X is a game developed by NAISU that takes inspiration from arcade games like Volfied, Qix, and Gals Panic. The game consists of 32 levels, each with its unique boss and minions. The objective of the game is to assist girls in need of help from weird bosses. The gameplay involves conquering a significant portion of the screen while staying safe from enemies.
The game has three difficulty levels that affect the enemies, shield, and required conquered area percentage for victory. Mokoko X also features fully animated Japanese and English voiceovers for all characters, lovely graphics, and traps, towers, crates, and bonus effects. Arcade mode and live high scores are also available for hardcore players.
The game’s story mode is absurd and provides answers to questions like how to stop a heartless but not soulless emperor, why do lizardmen need a plastic toy for summoning their god, and how to become a villain after revolting against the ant queen. With its unique gameplay and absurd stories, Mokoko X is a perfect blend of nostalgia and modern gaming.
