Mfg Console – An Honest Review
About a month or so ago I posted that a WIP beta version of a Mfg Console mod was working fine as a Replacer for SSE on the gaming forums. Its been a little bit of an experiment. Mostly I just wanted to test it out and see if it would work, but the modding community seems to have created quite a lot of interest in the mod and more importantly there are a lot of people backing the effort, so I will keep this one for now.
I started doing some research about the process I was about to undertake and found that Mfg Console was not only being used as a Replacer for SSE, but it also was an entirely new concept, which to be honest, is not really well known outside the gaming community. But I also discovered that it was designed by a guy called rapper, who’s fromprus. With his help, the modding community has finally gotten an authentic and quality console game modding program. From what I’ve read, Mfg Console is actually a program which modifies the sse files that govern the operation of the ps3 black screen, allowing you to play games without having to use hacks or cracking codes, so I am going to explain how it works.
The way it works is that paper made several modifications to the original SSE game files, which allowed him to add a lot of features and functions to Mfg Console. I haven’t gotten around to testing all of them out yet, but I’ll do that once I get the chance. The one feature I’m particularly fond of is the fact that it allows me to play skim console games without having to use any mods at all. I also like the fact that paper made his mod for SSE compatible with all the popular mods for skyrim, so there should be no compatibility issues.
