Metalands is a free-to-play role-playing game developed by a creative team of the same name. In this blockchain-enabled first-person shooter, you explore an open world and earn items that can be sold or traded as a non-fungible token (NFT) outside the game.
It is an NFT game, much like Axie Infinity and Cryptokitties. However, its gameplay and aesthetics are closer to hit FPS games like Counter-Strike: Global Offensive or Call of Duty. Its various game modes offer different opportunities to earn NFTs, which in turn can be sold and made into real cash.
From in-game bunkers to the real world
The developers behind Metalands promise not only an enjoyable FPS experience but also a robust economy that will allow a smooth and safe transition of in-game assets to cryptocurrency to real-world money. So far, the game works well, although it has a few bugs or glitches in-game such as enemies spawning even after the game clock ends. Some players also reported the leaderboard did not show the usernames. However, the game maintains an active community, with the devs promising quick responses to player concerns. This makes the game worth trying, although the cryptocurrency system is a different matter altogether.
