This is a free metal detector app for Android phones.

The app uses your device’s magnetic sensor to measure the magnetic field strength.

The values are displayed in microtesla (µT), which is a unit used in science and technology for measuring magnetic fields. 1 µT = 10 mG.

The sensor works best detecting ferromagnetic materials, such as iron and steel, which have a magnetic field strength of about 25 to 65 µT. It can’t detect non-ferromagnetic materials, such as aluminum.

The app works best detecting metals up to about 15 cm away.

The accuracy of the app is dependent on the magnetic sensor in your device and is affected by electrical equipment, such as TVs, computers, and other devices due to the influence of the electromagnetic field.
