A stylish way to keep a journal

Mémoires is an ultra-stylish writing application for those that want to keep an elegant diary or record of events.

Mémoires has three ways of searching though your posts and entries: via the search bar at the bottom right, the list of entries on the left or the calendar view. The layout of Mémoires is super clean and simple making it an ideal choice for novices or those that need something extremely easy to keep a diary with.

Creating posts and adding photos is very easy and Mémoires checks your spelling as you type. Mémoires also now features AES-128 encryption meaning you can password protect your entries and not fear them being accessed by others. Finally, you can add your own drawings and diagrams via a sketchpad entry although this isn’t much use unless you’re a bit of an artist.

There is however no way of tagging entries and no way of recording video entries. And even though Mémoires is not designed for blogging, it would still have been nice to have had some way of uploading entries to the web if you should ever want to.

Overall though, Mémoires is an attractive and well designed journal for your Mac although could do with some handy extra features.

Mémoires has a gorgeous user interface. Even though a powerful application, it is very easy to use. No distractions, no complicated forms: just two buttons and one search field. Even easier than a paper journal!
