Free overhaul marriage mod
Marriage Mod – To Have And To Hold is a free overhaul mod for Skyrim SE. In effect, it improves on and changes the dynamics of the marriage system in the game. You can now marry up to 11 characters, or you can divorce and remarry NPCs. It also alters the marriage ceremony and related quests slightly.
There’s a new book that lets you know where each of your spouses lives. You can place them in any town where you own a home. When you’re at the wedding, you can ask your bride to change from the default outfit. For other overhaul mods, you can look at One Tree, Skyrim Particle Overhaul, Realistic Lighting Overhaul, Sacrosanct – Vampires of Skyrim, and Ordinator – Vanilla Smithing Restored.
New open marriage features
In the vanilla version of Skyrim, there’s a game mechanic that lets you marry an NPC of your choice, based on specific questlines and factions. With Marriage Mod – To Have And To Hold, you can now marry up to 11 characters.
You’ll receive a new Mara’s Tear book, which lets you view all your spouses’ locations. As soon as you complete faction quests, you can place them in any of the homes you receive as a reward.
Ceremony settings and quests
Some of the matrimonial settings change after you install Marriage Mod – To Have And To Hold. You can activate the marriage quests at any time unless you have your maximum number of spouses. If you don’t like the default clothing the NPC is wearing, you can ask them to change to one of the listed outfits in the menu.
Conflicts with other mods
The only issue with Marriage Mod – To Have And To Hold is that there are some add-ons that it isn’t compatible with. For instance, any mods that deal with the marriage mechanic or the Temple of Mara will have a direct conflict.
Marriage season in Skyrim
Marriage Mod – To Have And To Hold is excellent for gamers who want to have more than one spouse in Skyrim. You won’t have to leave one partner to have another one, and you can select where you want them to live. If you want to visit them at any point, you can consult your marital book.
