Explore the universe
Bowser has kidnapped Princess Peach again and this time, he has taken her to outer space! In your quest to rescue the princess, you will find the Mario Forever Galaxy is different from the other traditional Mario games. It is a fixed shooting game developed by Buziol Games.
Shoot’em down!
Mario Forever Galaxy will remind you of the arcade shooting game Space Invaders. In order to save Princess Peach, Mario and his friends ride aboard their spaceships to go after Bowser. Of course, the rescue mission is not going to be easy! A lot of Bowser’s minions are going to try and stop you so you must be able to shoot them down. Sounds too easy? Let me tell you that the challenge does not end with trying to eliminate enemy spaceships. As you advance, the stages get harder and harder. Bowser’s evil minions will move in unpredictable patterns and will try to advance closer and closer to you. They will also start to retaliate and attack back with their own missiles instead of just flying around. It will be harder to kill them as well. As for other space hazards, huge space rocks will randomly pop-up on your screen and spinning laser beams will try to get in your way to prevent you from freely navigating around in space. Be very careful while flying out there and do your best to dodge them. Once they are able to touch your spaceship, it will explode and you will lose a life! In this game, you are given 3 lives at most and you cannot have any more than that so try your best to avoid losing.
Ready your weapons
You should not go to battle unprepared. Remember that your enemies are also getting stronger and harder to kill. They will not go down with just one hit so be sure to equip new weapons before going into battle! There will be new weapons available at the shop that you can purchase using the coins you have collected while playing. The coins will rain down on the battlefield after you have blasted an enemy so be sure to catch as many as you can. There are over 60 kinds of guns and blasters you can choose from in this game and all of them can be upgraded up to 10 levels.
You should also watch out for power-ups! They will be very helpful to you in trying to survive and win the game. The power-ups are actually the same as in the other Mario games except they perform differently here. For instance, mushrooms will fix damages on your ship instead of turning you into a giant.
An out of this world adventure
Mario Forever Galaxy is actually a continuation of Mario Forever but is just as enjoyable, if not more. It has a smooth gameplay made even better by its colorful graphics and designs. It is a very welcome change of scenery from the traditional Mario platformer.
