Next-gen premium soccer game

Madden NFL 21 is a premium sports game that lets you experience what it’s like inside the premier American football league. Build your dream team, manage your NFL superstars, and win tournaments in this all-around simulation. As a part of the long-running Madden NFL series, however, it reuses a lot of already-existing mechanics apart from a few welcome improvements.

With new players and new features, Madden NFL 21 manages to keep the franchise afloat. Similarly, you might want to consider other games in the football franchise such as Madden NFL 20 or Madden NFL 19.

The future of football games

Madden NFL 21 comes from a long line of video games that traces its origins back to the late 1980s. This latest entry, however, is one of the best entries in the long-running franchise. It keeps the best features of its predecessors while adding new tricks. For example, it introduces the Skill Stick feature that lets players link skills and connect them to create streamlined combos that suit their style.

Its Franchise Mode also gets an upgrade with the Rise to Fame feature, which includes a playable documentary mode that increases the level of agency across your NFL management career. Ultimate Team also offers an all-new season of content, allowing you to showcase your hard-earned roster of football pros. Lastly, The 2021 season features a real-time league influence where the team’s playbooks are updated based on real-world changes.

Unfortunately, maintaining a long-running franchise won’t always hit marks, and this game is no exception. Players and critics have noted the persistence of old issues with the Franchise mode such as missing abilities and QB freezes. Additionally, it’s also driver-sensitive, with the use of outdated or unsupported graphics drivers causing the game to crash. However, updating drivers and installing the latest game patches reduces the instances of these problems.

Must-have for football fans

If you’re a fan of American football or have been following the Madden series for some time, then Madden NFL 21 is a must-have. However, it doesn’t do away with the restrictions of the Franchise mode, or is still prone to bugs and issues, it manages to reinvent the idea and the experience, particularly those that pertain to being an NFL manager.
