Free-to-play strategy board game
Ludo Pasa is a free strategy game from Onova Technologies. This digital adaptation of the classic board game lets you enjoy the dice-rolling, token-moving experience with friends and family. Whether you’re together or in different places, its online multiplayer support lets you share the same ludo board and take turns in trying to outplay the rest of the participants.
With a variety of board themes, all centered around a mix of luck and skill, Ludo Pasa is a fun tool you can keep on your device for spontaneous gaming sessions. You can also check out Ludo King or Ludo Ninja.
Roll your dice and explore the board
Ludo Pasa is based on the board game of the same name. Considered the Latin descendant of the ancient Pachisi game, ludo is generally played by two to four players. Each participant is represented by a token that moves on squares on the board, depending on the dice roll. Also, depending on the game, the goal may either be to reach a finish line or to accumulate points.
Made with Unity 3D, this top-down perspective game shows simplified visuals, but it is still filled with color and accompanied by smooth animation. Together, the minimalist approach both optimizes the game and makes it easy on the eyes. Also, the game features different themes and variants of ludo, including a point-based game, a diceless version, and the classic strategy board game.
Unfortunately, what used to be a fun and safe game has become heavily monetized. It uses an in-game currency that can be withdrawn through supported online payment channels. More importantly, it has created a division between free and paying players. Some events even require a fee in order to join. Aside from earning in-game currencies, you can make microtransactions, although the game servers on this aspect are no longer reliable.
A partly enjoyable ludo game
If you’re looking to enjoy an entirely free ludo experience, Ludo Pasa is no longer the best option. The app has become divided into a part that you can enjoy with friends and family while the other half is a competitive scene that allows players to earn by playing. Still, the variety of content it has makes it difficult to top as far as ludo games are concerned.
