A colourful first-person shooter with a serene soundtrack
Lovely Planet is an oriental version of Minecraft, except that there is a bigger focus on combat and running around different platforms to kill your enemies. The sound effects are cheap, but the background music is soothing and calm. It is almost as if somebody took Minecraft, re-skinned it, changed a bunch of shapes and gave it a whole new colour scheme. The game doesn’t have the building side to it that Minecraft has. Your only aim is to jump around and kill things. With that said, the jumping controls are very well developed. They are smooth and the gravity settings are low, which means your jumps are long and involve a slow descent. That slow descent may be used to shoot enemies and leave a stream of bullets flying through the air as you land.
