Psychological horror game

Loveland is an indie game that features one of the 10 plagues: frogs. In this adventure game, you play as a detective investigating the missing persons of Loveland Cove’s mobile home park. However, what you’ll uncover instead are the secrets of a frog-worshiping cult.

Loveland is a psychological horror game inspired by cult classics Deus Ex and the X-Files. It blends immersive simulation with psychological thrills, giving you an exciting experience. It also uses low poly graphics and expert sound design for a terrifying setting. Although, this is only a demo game. Therefore, the run time will be too short.

Frog horror game

In Loveland, you take on the role of an Agency Detective assigned to investigate the small trailer park on the outskirts of Loveland, Ohio. Some people have gone missing in this trailer park. More than that, your agency received reports of cult activities. As you investigate, you find that the cult here is led by a denounced church minister, who proclaims that frogs will be their savior.

As with similar games, you will gather information. Armed with a flashlight, you will explore the trailers and pick up items and notes to find the answer to the mystery. The game has nonlinear gameplay, allowing you to investigate in whatever way you see fit. Note, however, that every decision you make has a consequence. The game has multiple endings and how your mission ends depends on your actions.

The game uses low poly graphics with high interactivity with objects, providing an immersive aesthetic. Even the audio helps in building tension. However, as noted, it is still in the demo stage. There will be limited content, which you can explore within a few minutes. Moreover, there will be a few typographical errors. Some players will also find the visual filter a bit overpowering.

Enough to hype you up

Overall, Loveland is a game that will be right up the alley for players who like horror and mystery. It has an intriguing story and a bizarre mix of comedy horror and legitimate horror to keep you entertained. Since it’s a demo game, the run time will be short. Still, it’s enough to make you excited for the full release.
