Simple and functional text editor

When it comes to multilingual text editors, you’ve got plenty of choice. LopeEdit is another contender in the ring, but with so much competition, how’s it going to fare?

In the first place, LopeEdit is free, which already earns it brownie points. It’s easy to use and, although not a stunner, is a perfectly functional and not-too-basic tool.
The interface uses drag-and-drop tabs to display multiple documents at once, either horizontally or vertically. You can even display documents side-by-side, which is a nice touch.
LopeEdit allows for a certain amount of appearance customization, and a decent amount of settings modification.
It has all the features you’d expect, and a few that you might not.
LopeEdit features syntax, bracket and brace highlighting, supports various visual themes and has bookmark support. Against LopeEdit, it’s just not a very exciting program.
Ok, nobody would argue that text editors are wildly interesting, but even so, you can’t help but feel that while LopeEdit does its job and well, there’s a dozen other apps out there that do exactly the same.
