Kaspbrak continues his story
Let Yourself Out, Eddie Kaspbrak! is a free computer simulation game and is an epilogue to Use Your Outside Voice, Richie Tozier!. Created by mapurl, this pixelated indie game is a fix-it fangame of the film, It: Chapter Two, to give the two characters a much better ending. It is advised to watch all franchise movies and play the creator’s first game before this one, as well.
Final chapter to It
It: Chapter Two is an American supernatural horror film from 2019, based on Stephen King’s 1986 novel, and the sequel to the 2017 film, It. This tells the story of a group of childhood friends who return to their hometown 27 years later to have one final fight with Pennywise. Richie Tozier and Eddie Kaspbrak are two of the main protagonists, but sadly, they end up with bitter endings to their story.
Let Out Yourself, Eddie Kaspbrak! aims to address this with pixel art and new activities in the style of a 2D adventure RPG. You play the titular character, Eddie, from a third-person point of view. You just need to use your arrow keys and your space bar to interact in order to move. The game is not as long as the film, as it focuses mostly on what has been added to the storyline.
You will not really fail in the game, as the plot is predictable and makes no drastic branching options. Any jumpscares are meant to happen because the original material is a horror film, but all of them are the same ones seen in the film. In terms of fiction, the tale here builds on Eddie’s circumstances, but expect some serious subjects to be discussed, too. The only drawback with this game is that it is always vulnerable to crashes and bugs.
Feel good closure to the franchise
Let Yourself Out, Eddie Kaspbrak! is a wonderful fangame devoted to It: Chapter Two and it’s pitiful character. For their fans, it not only adds more content, but it’s also very easy to appreciate, and as you progress, you don’t have to worry about doing things right, offering closure to the previous game. It’s just too bad that it sometimes crashes and breaks during use.
