A beautiful island adventure game

Len’s Island is a premium adventure game by developer Flow Studio. It takes place on a serene tropical island wherein players will build a new home for themselves. It also mixes open-world exploration with survival elements as they slowly unravel the mysteries of this seemingly peaceful paradise.

Similar to the approach of Among Trees or Valheim, Len’s Island has players start with nothing but a basic set of tools to get them going. They will collect resources to use with a robust crafting system that lets them create a variety of items, weapons, and even structures.

A fresh start

The game takes place on the titular Len’s Island, a beautiful and serene paradise, and you are the new would-be adventurer in town looking to settle in and make a home for yourself. Armed with nothing but a backpack of tools, you will go about exploring the surrounding areas for resources to help you start building, all while looking into the island’s hidden secrets and mysteries.

The game features a modular building system that lets you build however you want. From there, you can then grow crops and develop a farm of your own to provide you with food and even rare plants and herbs that you can sell for some gold. Speaking of nourishment, this will be essential as you go off exploring the island’s various locations like dungeons and caves.

If you’re looking for a bit more action and thrills, those same dungeons and caves are home to dangerous otherworldly creatures to fight, as well as other hidden treasures and secrets about the island to discover. Just note that the game is still in early access, and development is still ongoing. Thus, expect more content and bugs to be addressed in future updates.

Dark secrets lie beneath

Len’s Island is a beautifully designed and intriguing adventure game that mixes different gameplay elements into a single package. There is a healthy dose of modular and scalable city-building experience to be had here. There’s also the open-world exploration aspect with survival elements that will have you go from one dungeon to another to fight monsters and learn more about your new home. Recommended.
