Play through nine Star Wars films
LEGO® Star Wars™: The Skywalker Saga is an adventure game published by Warner Bros. Games. As the name suggests, this is a Lego-themed game set in the Star Wars universe. Here, players can play through all nine Star Wars saga films.
Unlike most Lego video games, The Skywalker Saga does not advance through the story in a linear order. Instead, players can start anywhere from any of the three Skywalker saga trilogies. They can also complete them in any order they wish. The combat has also been revamped from previous titles, and there are 300 playable characters.
What does the game offer?
LEGO® Star Wars™: The Skywalker Saga is the sixth entry in the Lego Star Wars series. As mentioned, it allows players to play through all nine saga films. Each episode will have five story missions, making a total of 45 levels. Not only that, but you have 300 characters to choose from, allowing you to play as a Jedi, a Sith, a rebel, or a bounty hunter.
The basics of the game will be familiar for fans of the previous Lego games. However, the combat has been revamped, allowing Lightsaber wielders to use a variety of combos. There is also a new over-the-shoulder camera angle and expanded melee combat system to make it more engaging even for seasoned players. As noted, the game does not need to be completed in a linear order.
Like its predecessor, LEGO® Star Wars™: The Force Awakens, the game’s hub will not be a single area but vast and fully-explorable planets. While in the hub, random encounters will appear, in which players have the option to engage or disengage. Finally, the game includes a Mumble Mode, allowing you to switch between the game’s original voice-acting and the mumble and grunts that the older Lego video games offered.
Should you download it?
If you are a fan of the Lego Star Wars series, LEGO® Star Wars™: The Skywalker Saga is a must-have. The game took the franchise to new heights as it offered more than its predecessors offered. It has more missions, more characters, and a better combat system. It even allows you to progress through the story however you wish. Overall, it is the best Lego Star Wars game to date.
