Play with all of your favorite Marvel heroes in this action game

Lego Marvel Super Heroes is an action adventure game developed by Traveller’s Tales and published by Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment. Released on October 22, 2013, Lego Marvel Super Heroes is another entry into the Lego video game series, where they portray various popular culture properties such as Star Wars and The Hobbit as Lego characters.

The Whole Marvel Universe

Comic book movies are all the rage these days, but if there’s anything the Marvel movies are lacking it would be literally every property whose movie rights they had to sell to other studios. As a result of this, mega Marvel fans won’t have the chance to see all of their favorite superheroes in one movie.

Lego Marvel Super Heroes is probably the closest thing to the massive crossover that everyone is waiting for. In the game, players can choose from over 180 playable Marvel characters to control. The game has characters from the widely popular Avengers as well as characters from the Fox-controlled X-Men franchise. There are also heroes and villains from comics that haven’t been adapted to the big screen yet.

Gameplay

The gameplay of Lego Marvel Super Heroes is very similar to the other Lego video games in the series. You can control the Lego version of your favorite characters and explore Lego versions of New York City. Each of the Marvel superheroes has its unique superpower in the game. For example, Spider-Man can use his webbing to swing from buildings while Bruce Banner can turn into the Hulk and smash things.

There are 15 story missions in total in the single-player campaign. There are 12 additional side missions. Hilariously, these side missions are narrated by Deadpool.

A Fun Time with Marvel Characters

If you want to know what it would be like if the MCU had complete control over all of the Marvel properties, we think it would probably look something like this. Everyone will be fighting together to defeat a galactic menace. Marvel fans will absolutely go nuts with all of their favorite heroes and villains in one massive game. However, it’s a fun time even if you’re not a Marvel fan. It’s just a well-round, well-made game for everyone.
