Surviving Future Warfare
LEFT ALIVE™ is a survival action shooter game published by Square Enix. The shooter game is about 3 protagonists’ journey during a war in the future.
Made With Veteran Developers
Square Enix has collaborated with the Japanese game industry’s well-revered developers who are known for their over-the-top military and futuristic designs. Toshifumi Nabeshima was the director of FromSoftware’s Armored Core series. Yoji Shinkawa from KOJIMA PRODUCTIONS was the character designer for the METAL GEAR series. Takayuki Yanase was the mech designer for the anime Mobile Suit Gundam 00 and Bandai Namco’s Xenoblade Chronicles X.
Ways To Survive the War
The shooter game is set during a civil war at Novo Slava in the year 2127. As Square Enix confirms that their shooter game is also set in the universe of their Front Mission franchise, players will have first-hand experience warfare on foot as a man back to back with compelling mech combat. They will encounter enemy armed troops, fully armed vehicles and mechs that can be compared to classic Japanese series like Armored Core, Metal Gear, and Gundam. The main objective of the game is to survive the war-torn metropolis while making careful decisions that could change the outcome and ending of the story. Every decision from the dialog box has plot-centered, branching consequences with multiple story paths ready for exploration. Players may even unravel the story what caused the conflict or just carry on with a survivor’s instinct. One of the core aspects of this new shooter game is the ability to fight on foot or riding a towering mech. When players go commando on the ground, they may go blazing with gunplay or utilize stealth and traps. Some aspects of gunplay include duck, cover, sprint, roll There are also collectible materials and craftable consumables that will help players along the way. On the other hand, players can ride Front Mission’s signature mech called Wanzers. Players can customize their Wanzers to suit any combat scenario. They can fire assortments of weapons stealable from enemies, as well as perform close quarter combat with the mech. There are 4 slots available for the mech weapons to use. Despite this shooter game feature mechs, players still have to traverse the whole game on foot because not all areas are massive. This moment emphasizes the stealth portion of the game.
