Lapso introduces players to the Rockrose region, a place backed by mountains and hemmed in by the sea. This place has always been shrouded in an aura of mystery. Hikers claim to see extraordinary people in its trail. It gained an eerie identity that it became a place frozen in time, where animals fled long ago. It is in this place that the game will revolve. 

Following a special documentary, Ilai, a scientific illustrator, camped on the edge of the lake in the 1970s. One day, he discovers an unmapped section of the forest, and his world changed. This game features a story told through the use of environmental narrative. Players will get to enjoy an atmospheric world, with secluded spots and spectacular scenery. Moreover, since it is free of invisible walls, you can freely explore the whole map and discover hidden secrets. 

The Rockrose region also features a dynamic climatology, which affects—to some extent—the gameplay. To immerse yourself more in the experience, the game uses spatial sound. It is recommended to use headphones when you play the game to complete the experience. Of course, the game’s graphic design is on par with the sound to make you feel as if you are walking deep into the forest yourself.
