LAPAN: Fire Hotspot – A Hotspot Monitoring Application
This is a hotspot monitoring android application developed by LAPAN Remote Sensing Affairs. It provides early warning and information on forest/land fires originating from remote sensing satellite data. The primary objective of this application is to provide users with near-realtime data on the coordinates of hotspots in the territory of Indonesia. The app uses data from remote sensing satellites Aqua, Terra, SNPP, and NOAA20, which are received directly by the LAPAN Earth Station.
It is an excellent tool for people living in Indonesia, especially those residing in areas prone to wildfires. By providing users with near-realtime data, the app helps them stay informed and take necessary precautions to protect themselves and their property. The app’s user interface is straightforward, making it easy for anyone to use.
