A kid friendly internet portal
Controlling what your kids see and use on the internet is an increasingly difficult task but it can be helped by tools such as KidZui.
KidZui is an internet portal with over a million kid-friendly games, websites, pictures, and YouTube videos reviewed by parents. Everything accessible through the interface has been verified and reviewed by parents so that you can be sure that whatever your kids are looking at should be safe or appropriate for them. The developers estimate that around 800 thousand pages are currently online.
Getting going with it is quite fun – you can create an account specifying the kind of things you’re interested in and can pick an avatar to represent you. The clever bit is that if your kid types in a URL that’s no approved by KidZui, it’s automatically blocked unless you decide it should be allowed. Your kids can meet other KidZui users online although at the moment it doesn’t seem like the kids community is particularly big despite the huge number of games and pages online.
KidZui is a way to put your mind at rest when you can’t be around to monitor your kid’s use of the internet.
