Design your own virtual keyboard

KeyStrokes is an ingenious piece of software which allows you to type on a keyboard just by using your mouse, trackball or any other pointer device. The application is particularly useful if you suffer a disability which impedes you from working with a regular keyboard.

Keystrokes is fitted with nine different European language dictionaries and includes click movements such as drag, dwell or 2 clicks which you can activate. The virtual keyboard is easy to use and will display typed text at the top of the interface. Keystrokes also cut, paste and save features to work with your documents.

I did find the interface a little cluttered, but on the whole felt that the application was rather intuitive. You can also choose from six different custom sizes and a dozen different keyboard types. It’s well worth dwelling into these to find the one you are most comfortable with.

The main drawback of the application is obviously the price. At $249, it’s far from being a bargain, however don’t forget that it comes with the LayoutKitchen, which will allow you to create your own keyboard.

Keystrokes allows you to create and use your own custom made virtual keyboard with any pointer, mouse or cursor.
