Milk-induced FPS
Karlson is an action game by Dani. Here, you play as a prisoner and a test subject. Your objective is to find your way out of the facility. But while you do, you will also need to get to the milk as fast as you can.
Karlson is inspired by classic first-person shooter titles. However, it brings parkour to the table, making the movements unique. The game comes with a single-player story mode, but you can also play against other players in the multiplayer mode. However, the multiplayer only consists of free-for-all, with only one map and three weapons.
What does the game offer?
Karlson is a 3D shooter game based on a popular book character of the same name. As mentioned, you will take on the role of Karlson, who was trapped inside a mysterious facility. With your robot companion named Billy, your objective is to fight your way out of the facility. And as you are a milk-infused man, you will also stop at nothing to locate and drink your favorite beverage.
The game will arm you with a wide arsenal of weapons, from pistol to AT-48 and sword. More than that, you will also get parkour abilities and the strength to break glass and doors. Although, the latter will cause slow motion and require enough momentum. Of course, as a challenge, the facility will be littered with robot enemies, including Evil Guy from Karlson 2D.
More than the single-player story mode, this game also comes with other playable modes, including a time trial mode for speed runs and endless mode, where you take on infinite waves of enemies. You can also play in multiplayer mode. However, as mentioned, it currently has only FFA, one map, and three weapons. The damage system is also different from the single-player campaign.
Not your typical FPS
Overall, Karlson is a good title to pick up if you are into first-person shooters. The gameplay is easy to understand as it is typical of the genre. However, with the added parkour abilities, the experience will be different. Moreover, you can choose to play solo or with other players online. However, note that you can only explore one map when playing the multiplayer mode.
