Sequel to Just Cause 3
Take on the shadowy Gabriela and the Black Hand organisation in this action-adventure game. Take control of cars, motorbikes, helicopters, planes and even wingsuits to battle against the largest private army in the fictional South American country of Solís. Enter into an enthralling open world of violence and corruption.
Gameplay
In Just Cause 4 you play the part of mercenary Rico Rodriguez in a continuation of the previous Just Cause instalments. Using all the weapons and vehicles at your disposal, you battle the soldiers of the private Black Hand army and support the rebellion against leader Gabriela Morales. The latest instalment of the game uses the unique Apex game engine to generate extreme weather conditions and physics, with increased emphasis on vertical terrain over previous versions. The player takes part in outrageous battles in typhoons and sandstorms while embarking on a sandbox-style quest to unravel the mysteries of Rico’s past.
Unashamedly Clichéd Action
Previous versions of the Just Cause franchise were criticised for their cheesy storylines and the latest version keeps to that tradition; however it works with the new and improved physics and over-the-top violence. The vertical element of the gameplay serves to make the game even better than its predecessors and a fitting instalment to the series.
