Destroy the blocks in this BrickShooter remake
JBrickShooter is a remake of the classic Brickshooter game which is based on the hugely popular match-3 principle.
In reality, you’re not actually shooting anything. Rather, you’re matching blocks of three colors or more to make them disappear and clock-up your points total. It’s an incredibly easy concept to grasp and, like with all match-3 games, very addictive at first. In JBrickShooter, you progress through the levels depending on when you reach a coring threshold.
One of the few options you have is to change the ‘color severity’, which means you can choose to make the game more difficult by adding more colors. You can choose from between 5 and 10 colors and from two game modes – Arcade and Strategy. This is where the options end, however. While it’s fun at first, JBrickShooter does soon get very boring. It’s not helped by the fact that there are no sound effects or even a soundtrack to accompany it. It’s also rather easy due to the fact that you can undo moves at any moment simply by clicking Undo in the top right corner.
JBrickShooter is a good time-killer but certainly not a game with any kind of long lasting appeal.
