A PC adventure game reminiscent of Zelda
Ittle Dew is an action and adventure game that’s very reminiscent of parts of the Zelda series. The game has a satirical, humorous tone that delightfully complements the many puzzles in the game.
Ittle Dew isn’t about originality but rather is a parody of the Zelda series with a very familiar scenario (you’re stuck on a desert island and have to escape). Fortunately, the game never takes itself seriously and pokes fun at everything through the character of the wonderfully salty-tongued fox.
Old-style, adventure-based game with puzzles to solve
Fans of console adventure games from the 1990s should waste no time in downloading and playing Ittle Dew. Above and beyond the parody and offbeat aspects, it’s a successful game that unabashedly pokes fun at the Zelda and Paper Mario games.
To advance in Ittle Dew, you must collect treasures that give you new powers (fire, teleportation, ice, etc.) and allow you to continue your adventure. Navigating the many dungeons in Ittle Dew is based mainly on solving puzzles and really make you think, one aspect of this very entertaining game that will make you forget that the battles aren’t very interesting or challenging.
Our verdict: a gem for old-school adventurers
Players looking for a thrilling action game can pass on this one: it’s clearly not where Ittle Dew excels. In terms of puzzles and humor, however, the game hits the mark. A must play for fans of the genre who miss having a good Zelda-type game for their PC!
