Intermountain Connect Care: Convenient Telehealth for Minor Urgent Care Conditions
Intermountain Connect Care is a telehealth app that allows patients to consult with a board-certified nurse practitioner or physician assistant for minor urgent care conditions using their mobile devices. The app is available for iPhone users and costs $69 per visit with many insurance plans accepted.
The app is designed to offer a convenient and affordable way for patients to receive care from Intermountain clinicians. The clinicians are highly trained and experienced in urgent care, clinics, and hospitals, and are specially trained to provide care via telehealth. The app also allows doctors to see the results of the visit and incorporate it into the patient’s medical record.
Connect Care is not suitable for all conditions, and patients should go to the nearest ER if they experience life-threatening medical emergencies or any of the following symptoms: chest pain or pressure, uncontrolled bleeding, sudden or severe pain, coughing or vomiting blood, difficulty breathing, sudden dizziness or weakness, changes in vision or speech, severe or persistent vomiting or diarrhea, changes in mental status, or physical or sexual abuse.
Moreover, if patients use Apple Health, they can import their health information such as heart rate, blood pressure, body temperature, blood glucose levels, weight, nutritional information, and respiratory rate into their Connect Care account for a more accurate consultation.
