Inferno aims to set your mind at rest by allowing you to permanently remove files from your machine, overwriting the data several times to ensure that even the most robust recovery program won’t be able to retrieve it.

The program is pretty easy to operate and you can send files to digital heaven in just a few seconds. Inferno also boasts a tool for locking files with a password in order to prevent prying eyes from accessing your personal data.

Inferno is a Windows program that can delete any file using a variety of overwrite patterns, including two that comply with the Department of Defense and the Gutmann overwipe pattern.
