A weapons overhaul mod for Skyrim
Immersive Weapons is a free expansion mod available for The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim that adds several new weapons to the existing Skyrim world gameplay. The mod aims to stay consistent with the game’s lore. Each weapon looks, behaves, and is named to ensure it seamlessly blends with existing content.
This Skyrim mod adds 230 new weapons for players to discover, loot, and craft. The weapons are also upgradeable and enchantable, plus they’re integrated into the game through leveled lists, vendors, and dungeon placements. That means players can acquire them at appropriate times.
Consistent with existing game content
Immersive Weapons adds hundreds of new weapons to Skyrim, and all of them are designed to remain consistent with original gaming elements. Each weapon fits into the basic weapon categories, and the weapon category names are taken from real historical weapons. The categories are battleaxes, daggers, greatswords, maces, swords, and war hammers.
Weapon stats
Each of the weapons in Immersive Weapons has 5 identifying statistics. Unless specified, each weapon will have the same stats as the base weapon in its category. Thus, it ensures that the new weapons do not unbalance the gameplay by handing overpowered weapons to players.
More variety to an already expansive game
Immersive Weapons adds a lot of new content to the game, although it’s mostly cosmetic. This reason is that the weapons conform to the existing game mechanics and statistics; thus, it does not substantially change the gameplay.
Well-developed but limited to the original
The mod is still actively developed, and the developer has said the mod is constantly evolving. Unfortunately, this mod isn’t compatible with Skyrim Special Edition, but another version of Immersive Weapons SE is available separately.
