Share text, photos and videos online the easy way
ibrii is a new way to share content online. With this Firefox add-on you can share text, pictures and videos in just a couple of clicks.
Using ibrii is dead simple. After installing the add-on on your browser, you’re presented with a very visual, interactive tutorial that shows you how to use the main functions. From that moment on, every time you stumble upon a blog article, video or photo you’d like to share with family and friends, just click the ibrii button on the top toolbar, between the address bar and the search field.
ibrii will then open a sidebar in Firefox, enabling you to drag and drop any content you want to share as a personal note. Add as many items as you want to your note, give it a title and then click the Share button to put it online straight away. ibrii currently works with Facebook, Twitter, Posterous, and Google, and can also create permalinks for your notes. Needless to say, you can also use ibrii to save web clippings for a school paper, an online research or simply for your own enjoyment.
The best thing about ibrii is that you can save these notes in a blog-style page, with date, time, the title you gave them and also the option to mark them as private. For this option to be available, however, you need to create an ibrii free user account.
On the downside, the links you share don’t point directly to the items you’ve chosen, but to the ibrii page where they’re stored – which is not that comfortable to navigate.
Whether you use it for research or to share fun stuff online, ibrii is a handy Firefox add-on that makes online clipping much easier.
