Simple calculator and converter for hexadecimal and binary
Hexit is a simply designed, easy-to-use calculator that enables you to convert between different number systems on the fly.
Its interface displays whichever value you enter in the decimal, hexadecimal and binary systems, performing the conversion on the fly as you type. Well, you actually have to click on the number buttons; at least I couldn’t find any way to use the keyboard and type numbers instead, and I found this pretty annoying.
In all, this is a simple calculator that enables you to perform simple maths operations and logic functions, and hardly uses system resources. It doesn’t even require installation.
Hexit combines a hexadecimal calculator with a hexadecimal to decimal converter. It offers the following features:
- Calculator math functions include integer addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division
- Calculator results displayed in hexadecimal, decimal, and binary formats
- Calculator display supports standard C/C++ data types
- Calculator supports standard logic operations; and, or, xor, complement, modulus and bit shift
- Converter supports floating point to hexadecimal and binary conversion
- Converter displays can be switched between Big Endian and Little Endian formats
- Calculator can be set to the topmost window while running other applications
- Hexit only uses 316k of memory
