Face the flames in Heart’s Medicine – Hospital Heat
Heart’s Medicine – Hospital Heat is a medical-themed time-management strategy game. In this sequel to Heart’s Medicine: Time to Heal, you play Dr Allison Heart, a young doctor who faces challenges not only from the neverending stream of patients she has to treat but also from her tangled romantic and personal life. And that’s without even mentioning the main plot, which culminates in a dramatic fire at the hospital.
Click, heal, repeat
The gameplay of Heart’s Medicine – Hospital Heat is pretty simple. Patients arrive in the hospital with different ailments and you must deliver the treatments they need. In some cases, you’ll just need to find and deliver their medicine, but others are more complicated. Some medicines have to be assembled, while other patients have to be treated via quick minigames. The variety keeps things interesting while providing enough distraction and delay that staying on top of the queue of patients will be a challenge. As you play, you’ll collect rewards you can use to decorate and upgrade Allison’s apartment. The story unfolds in cutscenes between these time-management episodes, escalating toward the dramatic final scene.
Simple but well-executed
Heart’s Medicine – Hospital Heat is a basic clickfest time-management game. However, it’s a very well-executed example of the genre, with fun characters, simple but effective graphics and a compelling theme. If you like the genre or enjoyed the previous game, it’s definitely worth checking this one out.
