Virtual shotguns, laser guns, and more
Gun Simulator Lightsaber is a free app themed around weapons seen in popular games and movies. Whether you want to spend time with a fictional firearm or turn the sound up to startle your friends, you might find some enjoyment.
Unlike Lightsaber Unleashed, there are no characters in the app. It is closer in spirit to Gun Move FX, being a compilation of sound and visuals relating to real and fictional weapons that are appropriate for short enjoyment or pranks.
Three types of weapons
Gun Simulator Lightsaber features three categories of sound and animation. The Shot Gun area consists largely of real-world weapons, including an AK-47 and flamethrower. The Lightsaber category has laser swords, ranging from the traditional Excalibur to the double-bladed Inquisitor. Finally, the Sci-Fi gun section has the likes of the Energy Gun and Sci-Fi Shotgun.
Sound and animation
When you select a weapon, you will be taken to a screen showing a close-up of the tool in question. By pressing buttons, you can activate both sound and animation. If you have a gun, it will shoot. If you have a lightsaber, it will show its glowing blade. After extended use, you’ll need to either recharge or reload.
A variety of options
Although a very simple app, Gun Simulator Lightsaber has a variety of options. Guns can be fired in Single, Auto or Shake modes. All weapons have switchable backgrounds; Sci-Fi guns can also be rotated or viewed in different weather conditions (regular, rain, and snow).
A little novelty
Gun Simulator Lightsaber is based on a novelty value that will soon wear off. While it lasts, however, users (particularly young children) might have fun playing around with fictional firearms and lightsabers, ranging from the halfway realistic to the downright silly.
