A strategy RPG about building a family legacy
Great Houses of Calderia is a grand strategy game in which the player will take control of a family house through multiple generations. The goal of the game is to grow the family’s legacy, assigning tasks to family members based on their personality and traits. There will also be combat with other houses, requiring real-time tactical resource management.
The game is set in a Renaissance-like world, much like Assassin’s Creed II. However, unlike that game, it is more of a tactical strategy RPG like Sid Meier’s Civilization VI, albeit on a much smaller scale.
Build a family legacy
In Great Houses of Calderia, the player takes control of a house (in the faction sense, not a physical house) in the fictional world of Calderia. The player must make decisions across several generations of family members in pursuit of building a respectable and lasting family legacy. Such decisions include assigning tasks to family members, making decisions on war with other houses, and more.
Family and resource management
Being a tactical RPG (role-playing game), Great Houses of Calderia focuses mostly on the management of resources, including the various members of the player’s family that need tasks assigned to them. The success of the player will depend on how well they make these decisions, especially when it comes to battle with rival houses.
A detailed tactical RPG
Great Houses of Calderia provides a lot of control for the player to exercise over their family. The player can manage battles while at war, allocate resources to avoid war, or split the difference depending on the house they are dealing with. It is also possible to establish traditions within the player’s family.
