A supernatural first-person action game for PC
GhostWire: Tokyo is a premium action game for PC by developer Tango Gameworks. Inspired by Japanese mythology and lore, players will take on the role of a character with special elemental abilities as they fight against a horde of supernatural enemies that have mysteriously overrun modern-day Tokyo.
The overall presentation is similar between Dying Light 2 – Stay Human and GhostWire: Tokyo in the sense that both are first-person action games that feature a high level of verticality in traversing and exploring their big open worlds. It comes out on March 25, 2022, with pre-orders available to players now.
Ghostbusters: Tokyo Edition
GhostWire: Tokyo is set in the modern metropolis of Tokyo that has been overrun with the deadly supernatural entities caused by a dangerous occultist. Its citizens have also mysteriously vanished, with you as the sole survivor. You must now team up with a vengeful spectral being and arm yourself with powerful elemental abilities to seek the dark truth behind what happened to your city.
You’ll be exploring a hauntingly beautiful rendition of the city of Tokyo, from its back alleyways to traditional temples. You will even see some of its most iconic locations like the Tokyo Tower and Shibuya Crossing, just to name a few. Face a variety of enemies along the way, ranging from slenderman-looking creepers to headless school girls, and even spirits and monsters straight out of Japanese legend and folklore.
There are various upgradable spells at your disposal that you can trigger using specific hand signs. You even get a couple that will aid you in performing various platforming challenges throughout the game. Now, as of this writing, it isn’t officially out yet, but there’s less than a week to go before it does. You can even pre-order it to receive bonus items in-game.
