Galaxis Wars brings the bullet-hell genre of dodging impossibly large waves of enemy fire into the VR age, combining light PRG progression elements such as upgrades for your ship.

What do you do?

In this game, players don either their HTC Vive or Oculus Rift and enter a virtual command room where they control friendly spaceships in a battle with an alien enemy. Enemies come in the form of holographic projections within this virtual command room, and players have to dodge enemy fire while also eliminated targets before they become overwhelmed. The game uses a fully-3D approach, modernizing the top down/side scrolling shooters of the past while still remaining true to the intensity, skill and reflex-driven gameplay of that genre.

What’s the gameplay like?

The creators liken it to flying your very own toy plane around your house, but instead of gunning down imaginary enemies they appear in VR before your eyes. The longevity of the game comes from its 100-wave complement of levels and the ability to choose upgrades for your ship in order to overcome every greater challenges and get the very best highscore.
