An FMV story about a person who collects garbage

Funny Walk is the third and final in a trilogy series of adventure FMV games that are framed as visual novels with gameplay elements. It is an isolated story about a treasure hunter who collects garbage and how the world reacts to that person. You don’t need to play the previous games in order to enjoy this game.

The previous games were Deity Driving and Beautycopter. It doesn’t have the visual quality of games like My Bloody Weekend but does share some point-and-click FMV gameplay mechanics of games like Harvester.

A mixture of many free assets

The most noticeable thing about this FMV game is how several digital assets have been haphazardly mixed into single settings. This was done by collecting free assets and putting them into the game, regardless of if they fit the general style. It is a way of making a game without creating any original assets through design, drawing, filming or modeling.

A fully voiced game with a TV format

The creator has added comedy elements by fully voicing the characters in the game. Much of it is set in a TV studio as people discuss the protagonist, who collects garbage and treats it like treasure.

The story doesn’t go anywhere

Rather than a fitting end to the overall trilogy narrative, this game simply reuses old assets and characters to build a different self-contained story. Each image or sequence has its own music and sound effects, but there is no story arc. You simply stop playing once the content has finished.

Contains a lot of negativity

This mish-mash of gaming concepts has a very negative view of certain political and gender demographics. The longer you play, the more this isometric game tries to teach the player to dislike certain groups. It does this with sincerity and without any sort of irony, so some people may find it offensive.
