The Ninja that cuts fruit… and Skittles!
Fruit Ninja vs Skittles is a special version of the popular game from Halfbricks Studios. Cut up as much flying fruit and Skittles as you can in one minute!
Classic gameplay with only one game mode
Fruit Ninja meets Skittles, the famous fruit-flavored candy. In this special version of the game, basic gameplay remains the same, but in addition to regular fruit, there are Skittles to cut through too!
Fruit Ninja vs Skittles is only offered in one mode: in one minute, you have to cut all the fruit and Skittles to beat your own record.
With clean cuts, you slice in half the items that appear on your screen: pineapple, coconut, watermelon, strawberries, lemons, apples, pears, kiwi and so on, in addition to Skittles.
Avoid hitting the bombs or you will lose points. The combos will help you get higher scores, which are made by cutting multiple items in one swoop. During the game, you can get bonuses, such as Freeze, which allow you to stop time for a few seconds.
Fruit Ninja vs Skittles, unlike other releases of the game, does not include worldwide leaderboards or multiplayer mode.
Commands
To slice through the fruit and Skittles you quickly move your fingers on the elements that appear on the screen.
Graphics and Sound
The graphics in Fruit Ninja vs Skittles are similar to those of other releases: clean, colorful and fluid. The sound effects are amusingly appropriate and help create an enjoyable atmosphere for the game.
Conclusions
Fruit Ninja vs Skittles doesn’t offer anything substantially new, except for the introduction of candy as a new element of the game, as well as some different choreographic elements.
The lack of multiplayer mode, leaderboards, and the ability to use only one game mode make it a bit limited compared to traditional editions. Ultimately, Fruit Ninja vs Skittles is a release only suitable for those really addicted to the series.
