The social network for discovering your city
Foursquare for Windows 8 is a social network that lets you share where you’ve been with your friends and discover new places nearby.
To do this, Foursquare for Windows 8 uses your location, but you also have the option to manually enter your location. Restaurants, hotels, malls and other establishments located close by will appear on your screen.
A social network for getting to know people and places
Foursquare for Windows 8 lets you keep track of the places you and your friends have visited, and also allows you to add comments, attach pictures or set a location as a favorite.
But Foursquare for Windows 8 isn’t only for finding new restaurants, bars and shops; it also tells you the people who have been to those places and to other locations in the vicinity. When you access a place from Foursquare, you’ll see who’s there and you can access their profiles, seeing where they were before and what places they recommend.
Image is everything
One detail that differentiates Foursquare for Windows 8 from the mobile versions is the special relevance of images, which takes the lead in creating mosaics of the people who have been at a place and the images of that place they’ve uploaded.
The user image mosaic changes every few seconds, showing comments for or against the premises to give you an idea of what it’s like.
Foursquare everywhere
With Foursquare for Windows 8, this social network for recommending places reaches virtually all platforms. While this version is more focused on previewing places and seeing who has been there, it does complement the mobile versions, which are more practical for checking-in.
