Escape the seven deadly sins

Forgiveness is an indie game created by Chaos Mind that will have players experience a series of seven escape room adventures. Here, you will need to escape seven rooms based on the seven deadly sins. Each of the rooms has its feel depending on the sin it represents.

As with other escape room games, Forgiveness will provide you with puzzles that you need to solve to escape. You can do so by reading the clues scattered around. There are two modes in the game, the normal mode with unlimited time and the extreme mode with a 30-minute time limit.

What is Forgiveness?

As mentioned, Forgiveness is an escape room game that revolves around the seven deadly sins. Here, players will take a personality test that will reveal the sin they are guilty of. Then, based on that, they will try to escape a room designed for that sin. Each room has its own design, environment, and trials that you will go through on your escape to freedom.

There are two difficulty levels in the game: the normal and the extreme. The normal mode allows you to solve the puzzles at your own pace, providing you with unlimited time. There are also subtle hints that you can use. Meanwhile, the extreme mode offers real punishment. Here, you only have 30 minutes to escape the room. Moreover, you are on your own with no hints to help you.

The puzzles are challenging to solve. Sometimes you will need to think outside the box to complete them. Of course, you can also look for clues by lifting and examining objects. Note, however, that there is no inventory here. You will have to pick items one at a time. Moreover, the graphics are dark and dingy, making it difficult for you to discern the letters on some of the clues.

Is the game good?

Overall, Forgiveness is a game for those who enjoy escape rooms. It offers seven rooms to escape, each with complex puzzles based on the seven deadly sins. However, some of the clues are cryptic. Additionally, some of the puzzles are ruined by the badly designed graphics. Finally, the game has no save option. You need to finish a room to save your progress or start again.
