The game is based on the popular Friday Night Funkin‘ series, where the main character is trapped in an arcade machine and must be rescued by his friends. However, in this game, the characters and plot are completely different.

Salty is a young man who has lost his memories. He is searching for his friends, trying to remember the days he spent with them and to find a way out of the arcade machine he was trapped in by his father. Salty’s Sunday Night is a game that brings all the characters of the series back to life and combines them with new characters, giving the player a brand new story and gameplay.
