Get movie information right from your Windows 8 desktop

The Flixster Metro app offers movie information and lets you watch trailers, read reviews, and locate showtimes.

With nice integration into the Windows Metro interface, Flixster looks great and also gives you a lot of useful information about movies you’re considering going to see. You can read a movie synopsis after selecting the film of your choice, or even watch trailers from upcoming films. Flixster combines critic reviews from Rotten Tomatoes, as well as community reviews directly from Flixster’s site. This gives you several different methods by which to determine if this is a movie you want to see.

Flixster’s Metro interface is a pleasure to browse through. It has a bottom scroll bar that scrolls left to right. The movie graphics are high quality and individual movie pages include an image that can be clicked on to watch the trailer, ratings from Flixster users and Rotten Tomatoes, a synopsis, a cast list with actor icons and other useful information.

The only issue is that some users might have difficulty installing this app on the first try, which can be a little annoying.

Movie buffs and general movie-goers alike will appreciate the information and multimedia the Flixster Metro app offers in an easy to navigate interface.
