Become the last finger standing in this app

Finger On The App is a free mobile game that challenges you to stay focused with just a finger. Developed by MSCHF Product Studio Inc., this app is a one-time global game meant for June 30, 2020, at 3:00 pm EST. All players must keep their fingers on this at all times until they win. The victor can win up to $25,000, but the losers can also change that number by their votes.

A fierce online challenge

MSCHF, known for its viral but short-lived stunts, has partnered up with popular YouTuber MrBeast to host an internet-wide one-time competition. On the set date and time, players who have downloaded the app must keep touching its screen for as long as they can to stay in the game. Anything that interrupts this—whether it’s a momentary distraction, a phone alarm going off, or even a call coming through—will knock you out of the running.

However, in case you lost, you can still participate in the game by influencing the prize pool. Once you’re out, you can vote once on the amount of money the winner should get—you’re allowed to vote between $0 and $25,000—and the average amount from all of the votes is what will be the final prize. Thus, being the player whose finger stayed on the app the longest doesn’t guarantee that thousand-dollar victory.

You only get one shot in this game, but you can partner up with some friends for a maximum of three extra lives. Enabling Bluetooth access to the app, and staying within 6 – 10 feet of other players, will give you an extra life, so you get 10 seconds when your finger slips off before you lose. The game will occasionally prompt you to move your finger, so Practice Mode is recommended before the contest.

Limited but still going to be viral

Even before its competition begins, Finger On The App is already becoming a hot topic among avid fans of MrBeast and the developer studio. The prospect of such a large prize pool is enticing but also poses a high risk with the losers’ ability to change its numbers. While it’s a shame that both the app and contest are only available for iOS users, this game still looks to be a fierce but fun challenge.
