Square Enix is finally fulfilling PC owners fantasies

Having been out since 2009, Final Fantasy XIII holds precious few surprises.

It still starts with ten hours or so of linear tedium before you finally make it to the game’s highlight, the untamed wilderness of Gran Pulse. Here it finally opens up to let you experience its fantastic battle system in a more explorative setting.

Despite its flaws, I doubt fans will be put off playing through this beautiful game again – especially as it now looks even more fantastic thanks to its new up-resed graphics.
