A free mod that improves Fallout 4 textures and visuals

Fallout 4 HD Overhaul is an asset swap upgrade mod for the base game version of Fallout 4. It’s similar to the Fallout New Vegas upgrade and allows you to play the game with sharper textures and cleaner visuals.

Unlike Fallout Shelter, this game is fully rendered in 3D with older graphics from 2015. This HD upgrade swaps most of the material assets in the game, including different skins that are sharper and much more modern.

Is this a Fallout 4 remastered mod?

Many mods have tried improving graphics on Fallout 4, but it is a lot of work. This mod introduces broad updates and continuously adds more improvements. It is not a remastered game but more of a tune-up.

Will it still run on older computers?

If Fallout 4 works on your PC, this mod will also work. Though it will require more processing power, it isn’t a graphics upgrade that requires a big power upgrade.

One of the reasons why this overhaul didn’t come sooner is because most mods cause bugs, such as flickering or overlapping textures. This app is one of the few mods that does not have any of these problems.
