Single-player 2D side-scrolling RPG

Fallen Legion Revenants is a single-player role-playing game that involves protecting a castle from a demonic force known as the miasma. Not only does this platform offer appreciable levels of side-scrolling action, but the decisions players make will impact the trajectory of the storyline.

The side-scrolling nature of Fallen Legion Revenants can be compared to other well-known bundles, such as Spider-Man: Friend or Foe. The associated player mechanics are straightforward and easy to manipulate.

Group-influenced battles

Players will take on the role of a character named Rowena. She controls three additional NPCs known as Exemplars. Each Exemplar is equipped with a specific power that can be used when fighting enemy opponents. Rowena is primarily tasked with manipulating how these players attack and what skills they employ.

Mashup gameplay

Many of the battles will require a “mashup” approach to character actions. In other words, buttons are pressed extremely fast in order to defend as well as to attack. There are also times when enemy attacks can be deflected, resulting in a greater amount of damage being caused. Note that new skills and Exemplars will be uncovered throughout the game.

Choice-driven gameplay

Players will occasionally come to a point when they are asked to decide between an easy and a hard path. In most cases, selecting the more difficult journey will result in a boss confrontation. Likewise, there are instances when users will be required to decipher clues and riddles in order to progress further.

A fast-paced combat game

In terms of a slightly hack-and-slash flavor, Fallen Legion Revenants is on par with platforms like The Devil Within: Satgat. However, its non-linear storyline and the ability to select between three different difficulty levels provides users with an impressive degree of flexibility.
