Keep the ball falling for as long as you can!
Falldown 3D is a game of skill in which you need to guide a ball down a series of shelves without it getting stuck.
Falldown 3D ‘borrows’ its gameplay from the excellent original FallDown! game for iOS. The aim is to avoid the shelves and keep the ball falling as long as possible without it getting stuck at the top of the upward-scrolling screen.
The presentation of Falldown 3D is much slicker than the original FallDown! From the three dimensional rendering of the wooden shelves to the motion physics of the steel balls, Falldown 3D feels very authentic (the graphics remind us a bit of Labyrinth). The rolling and landing sound effects are realistic, too.
There are four different difficulty levels in Falldown 3D, with speeds increasing as you crank up the trickiness.
Its simple controls mean that Falldown 3D is an easy game to pick up and play. Unfortunately, though, it gets dull very quickly. There are only three different types of power-ups, and it lacks a lot of the charm of the original, 2D FallDown! The fact that the wooden background and shelf designs stay the same throughout makes it even more boring. There isn’t even an online leaderboard to raise the interest level.
Falldown 3D is a disappointing reworking of a classic iOS game.
