A procedurally generated exploration game

“Everything” is a game where you are encouraged to explore the universe, but there are no goals, tasks or scores. There is no point to exploring, you do it because you can. The game is AI-driven based on universal rules that are similar to the rules of our universe, but objects do not interact with each other.

Music and environments

“Everything” is procedurally generated, so your experience may differ when you play next time. When you explore within the “Everything” universe, there is a music track playing. The track differs depending upon where you are visiting. You may walk across grassy fields, or visit cities, or shrink down to microscopic sizes and mingle with snowflakes. Symbols pop up that generate lectures from a philosopher, and they are some of the ugliest feel-good hogwash you will ever hear. To call it silly liberal nonsense would be an insult to silly liberal people because it is truly the dumbest thing you will ever hear. For example, one line is, “The world is so interconnected, whoa.” Another example is, “Your brain uses electricity, so you are electricity.”

It is not a game for action junkies

Very little actually happens when you play Everything. It is a game you play if you want to look at pretty things and hear pretty music. There are numerous facets to the exploration function, but there are no tasks to complete, so you will find yourself aimlessly moving from one environment to another. Some people may like to explore a virtual universe. Others may feel cheated because they feel like they are wasting their time.
