Keep track of your favorite teams and sports
ESPN SportsCenter (formerly ESPN ScoreCenter) keeps you up to date with all the latest results, news, video highlights, in-depth analysis and more.
Covers all major sports inside and outside of the US
ESPNSports Center covers a wide range of sports including football, baseball, basketball, soccer, Formula One and cricket. Each of the different sports appears as a different tab in the ESPN SportsCenter and you can flick between tabs by swiping your finger across the screen.
ESPN SportsCenter gives you the ability to select your favorite teams, from any sport, and have their results appear on the front page of the app. Tap on a result and you’ll get game stats, a resume and information about plays. The revamped app also now features video highlights so you can watch all the action on your phone.
Setup alerts for your favorite teams
The amount of customization in ESPN SportsCenter is impressive. By enabling push notifications you can request to be alerted every time something happens in a game featuring your favorite team. This includes breaking news and analysis and numerous notification options for kickoff times, scores, substitutions etc. You’re also kept up to date with breaking news via ESPN’s integrated Twitter feed.
The most annoying part of ESPN SportsCenter are the ads. There are too many ads that invade the screen while you’re trying to use the app, especially when trying to watch video highlights. It’s also quite bloated with features and news compared the the old app which focused on just scores.
A comprehensive app for sport’s fans
ESPN SportsCenter harnesses ESPNs excellent’s sports coverage and commercial rights to deliver an excellent app for all sport’s fans but be prepared for lots of ads.
