Connect FileMaker Pro with Microsoft Entourage

Entourage Manipulator Plug-In is the only way you can create a two-way data exchange between FileMaker Pro and Microsoft Entourage using just a few simple scripts.

The big advantage of this is that no AppleScript or XML programming knowledge is required, and it adds a whole host of options and features to Entourage that aren’t possible by default. Once installed, it means that you don’t have to deal with an ugly Microsoft Entourage interface – you can use the much better looking and familiar Filemaker Pro interface instead.

Entourage Manipulator plug-in can exchange data with Microsoft Entourage Address Book, Calendar, Tasks and Mail. Every step is detailed in minute detail with the excellent online video tutorials. It is however rather expensive to upgrade and for what is basically an aesthetic upgrade, dubious as to whether it’s worth it at almost $100 for a single user.

However, it does allow you to send faxes, administer printers and even add a biometric fingerprinting protection option to Entourage, all via Filemaker Pro so it’s much more than that. If you really can’t stand Entourage’s interface, Entourage Manipulator Plug-in is probably worth it.
